The Kiminee Dream: Now Available!

My new novel is coming soon. Mark your calendar!

Influenced by folklore and magical realism, The Kiminee Dream is a lyrical story with characters equally charmed and challenged while living where the ordinary and miraculous coexist seamlessly. If you like depth as well as whimsy, arresting twists, and details that rouse your senses, you’ll love what is both an eloquent exploration of acceptance and a tender tribute to the people of Illinois.

Poignant and exactly where we are, except our son drives north. Well done!

Thanks, Jerry! I’d say I’m a writer who pens a poem every now and then.

A POEM MUST BE answer with A POEM

    A child is born
    A child is bathed
    A child is raised
    A child is now full-grown
Two share a memory of one who has gone

    One young woman
    moving out on her own
    The future is uncertain
take it one day at a time

    Enjoyed hearing yours
    Hope you enjoy reading mine

[this is what came to my mind as I read this.

Glad to see you back. :-) :-) :-)

Thanks, Robin, for your poem-comment and for the welcome back. I think I’m up to posting regularly again.

Thanks, Holly. I missed your comment when it came in. Glad I noticed it just now. Watching our children move on to the next phase of their lives is something we parents all have to deal with at some point—at least in this country. It’s exactly what needs to happen, but pulls at the heart strings nonetheless.
